Well, insecurity without password is just a rumor, because with their latest Insider preview release, build 17093, relies on the Authenticator app on Android and iOS to render passwords a thing of the past. Windows S, which was recently turned from a fully fledged OS to a Windows 10 mode, is planning to leverage the advances in alternatives to traditional passwords which merge in this Windows 10 build 17093 under the Windows Hello banner, to make the experience more secure.

According to the Microsoft :

“With the changes in this build, your Windows 10 S PC will automatically make your experience password-free. You will notice that if you have Windows Hello set up, you won’t see passwords anywhere in the Windows experience – not on the unlock screen nor in Sign-in options.”

It is expected that Microsoft could also add these features to there upcoming operating system releases and adding more advanced security.

The company believes this will make it easier for people to adopt a hybrid cloud infrastructure and can proactively protect themselves against cyber threats. Because, it integrates with various MDM (mobile device management) solutions and authentication systems, and is capable of checking user content for data loss prevention purposes, with compliance controls. Symantec senior vice president and CIO Sheila Jordan said :

“Symantec and Microsoft continue to share a commitment to online security. Through our efforts, we are bringing world class security solutions to Azure to help customers realize the speed, flexibility and capacity of cloud computing while staying protected against today’s evolving threats.”

If you have no Windows 10 means you can’t use Office 2019

In this second half of 2018, Microsoft will announcing Office 2019. According to Microsoft-, the standalone Office 2019 app will work on Windows 10 versions exclusively, means no windows 10 then no office 2019. The Microsoft explain in their blog :

Office 2019 will provide 5 years of mainstream support and approximately 2 years of extended support. This is an exception to our Fixed Lifecycle Policy to align with the support period for Office 2016. Extended support will end 10/14/2025.

It is expected to add modified features such as advanced data analysis features such as more added new formulas and charts for Excel and visual-animation features such as PowerPoint Morph and Zoom. According to the company the office 2019 apps will be supported on any supported Windows 10 SAC release, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018 and the next LTSC release of Windows Server. Also, Microsoft said that it won’t be shipping Office using the older MSI installer—the apps will all use the Click-to-Run installer, which is commonly used by Office 365.

This app will work on includes Arch Linux, Debian, Fedora, Linux Mint, Manjaro, OpenSUSE, Solus, and Ubuntu distributions going forward. As you know, Skype, Skype is a Microsoft application that lets users make video and voice calls, and send files, video and instant messages. Skype-to-Skype calls are free anywhere in the world. Premium features like voicemail, SMS texts, or calls to landlines and cellphones carry a cost. With snap, you can work securely within any Linux environment across desktop, the cloud and IoT devices. There are thousands of snaps launched since 2016. With this release, it has roll-back features, plus security benefits, allowing greater flexibility for developers on the one hand, and a more seamless experience for users on the other. Sony has announced the midnight blue and steel black DualShock 4 wireless controllers. According to the company the controllers will be available in worldwide before March 7, 2018. The sources says that the stock of these controllers is very limited, may be most of PlayStation player won’t be able to buy it. It will be the luck of that gamer who buys it first. Also, it may not be available for few countries. Right now, the sources prices could be fluctuate little bit. But the standard price is expected between $60 – $80. Sony product manager Andrew Mason explains :

“Some of you may remember the popular metallic design from 2016. Now it’s back and like all new Dualshock 4 controllers, features a redesigned touchpad and offers direct USB as well as wireless control options. We’re happy to announce that two new special edition Dualshock 4 wireless controllers will be available across the region from 7th March.”
